Based in Halifax, Kaylin and Rachel are both honours graduates of the Nova Scotia Community College Professional Photography program. These two work together to incorporate their individual styles to give you seriously moody and stunning images, while keeping things authentic to you. Kandr have a fun, stress free dynamic that they'd love to bring to your wedding.
I am constantly Inspired by film, intimate moments, story telling, emotion and love. I have a soft spot for details - the kind of details that give us space to breathe and the permission to be present amongst the chaos. I believe these moments really capture the beauty of a wedding day. My shooting style is focused on telling a story, with the added moody twist that Kandr is known for. I love creating dramatic images and playing with light, while making sure your images are staying true to who you are as a couple.
Outside of photography, you can find me playing escape games, challenging my mind, reading books, and eating lots and lots of junk food while snuggled up on the couch, dressed in an Oodie with my five cats - probably planning my next trip to some international destination. I have the travel bug and want to see as much of the world as possible. I love dancing and have been known to bust out a couple moves throughout the day so if you happen to see me dropping it low, no it’s not because I just dropped my phone, I’m just having a good time.
I find myself to be more of a 'big picture' person - in a very literal sense. I love incorporating the scene with our couples, whether that be a rocky coastline or beautiful architecture, I love showing off the space you chose to say "I do" while still keeping it very you. My favourite thing is incorporating landscape photography and portrait photography into one stunning image.
When I'm not behind the camera, you could probably find me looking for my next cup of coffee or behind a screen planning my next trip. I try to travel somewhere at least once a year to keep myself inspired and excited to try new things, (except hair colours.. it's been blue so long I'd probably have an identity crisis without it).
